Editorial Policy
How we create practical PDF guidance, distinguish tested facts from general advice, and correct material mistakes.
Last reviewed: July 18, 2026
Our scope
PlayWithPDF publishes guides about PDF creation, page management, compression, conversion, document security, scanning, OCR, and practical upload workflows. We prioritize questions that arise while preparing real documents for email, portals, printing, archiving, or collaboration.
How guides are prepared
- Instructions are checked against the current PlayWithPDF interface before publication or a material update.
- Examples use demonstration documents rather than private user files.
- Where results depend on document structure, images, fonts, encryption, or browser support, the limitation should be stated.
- Technical claims should be supported by a primary source when a stable authoritative reference is available.
- Guides should add troubleshooting, comparisons, examples, or workflow context beyond repeating button labels.
Authorship and review
Guides are published by the PlayWithPDF Editorial Team and reviewed for product accuracy. A publication or update date appears where available. “Tested” should only be used when the described workflow has actually been run with a demonstration file.
Independence and monetization
Advertising may support the site, but it does not determine instructional conclusions. Advertisements must remain visually separate from navigation, file selectors, tool controls, and download buttons. Sponsored material, if introduced, will be labelled clearly.
Corrections
If a guide contains an incorrect instruction, unsupported claim, broken reference, or outdated interface detail, contact playwithpdf@gmail.com. Material corrections should update the article date and the affected passage.
